Windows 10 End of Life: What You Need to Know

In a about a year, in October of 2025, Windows 10 will be going end of life. Microsoft will no longer be putting out security updates for it. They will no longer be supporting the product, so it is time to start thinking about that if you have any computers in your business that are still running Windows 10.

If they are on Windows 10 now, there’s a good chance that they are incapable of upgrading to Windows 11. Microsoft offers a free upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10, but you have to have a computer that is able to run Windows 11. So, most of those updates have already gone through if the computer was capable.

If you have computers in your business that are still running Windows 10, now is the time to start thinking about how you’re going to replace those. Maybe take advantage of some of the end of year deals that you might run across with your vendors or your IT service providers and go ahead and get newer Windows 11 computers in your business.

The other thing to think about is that if you have Windows 10 computers now, that means they are relatively older and so there may be some other things about those computers that are outdated as well. We hope that this will help you to prepare for the future and possibly even save you some money because you are able to take advantage of some specials now that you have time to plan.
